Beata Łukasik
Doctor Beata Łukasik graduated from the Faculty of Chemistry at the University of Łódź in 2012. She carried out research for her master's thesis at the Center of Molecular and Macromolecular Studies, Polish Academy of Sciences under the supervision of Professor Marian Mikołajczyk. There she began her doctoral studies, focusing her interests for longer on the total synthesis of biologically active compounds. Since 2015, she has been employed as an assistant. In the meantime, she completed two short scientific internships at the Faculty of Chemistry at Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, USA. In 2017, she won the competition for the best doctoral student at the CMMS PAS. She gained her PhD degree in 2019 for the thesis entitled “Synthesis of new chiral building blocks and their application in the synthesis of cyclopentanoids". A year later, she joined the team of Professor Łukasz Albrecht in the Institute of Organic Chemistry at the Lodz University of Technology, where she conducts research in the field of organocatalysis as part of her postdoctoral internship.
