Marta Romaniszyn was born in Lodz, Poland, 1991. She studied chemistry at Lodz University of Technology, where she obtained her M.Sc under the guidance of prof. Tadeusz Gajda in 2016. In 2013 she was a student at Hanzehogeschool Groningen, Netherlands and in 2014 she had 3 month internship at Liverpool John Moores University, England. Upon graduation she decided to start work in the field of organocatalysis at Lodz University of Technology, where she joined Łukasz Albrecht’s group and started her Ph.D. studies in 2016. Her current research focuses on supramolecular catalysis and organocatalytic, asymmetric functionalization of poliene systems. Beyond chemistry her biggest passion is modern, pole and aerial dance as well as choreography (do not confuse with chromatography, which she also enjoys :)
